This multi-day hike in Yosemite was just what the doctor ordered. I'd completely torn my calf muscle some ten days earlier and thought I was going to miss this epic trip. With some rest, amazing therapy and a lot of TLC, I was good to go. My backpack was loaded for bear with camera gear (as usual), so much so that my brothers were kind enough to carry some of the heavier pieces near the end of our journey - phew! Though you may not always stay in touch or carry your weight in family matters, they're always there to help out. Keep that in mind when you're struggling - give 'em a call.
